Hi, I’m Beth! District 64A in St. Paul has been my home for over 20 years. My wife, Pam, and I own a home in the Summit University neighborhood where we live with our two dogs and two cats. I love my neighborhood, our city, and state and I would be honored to represent District 64A in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

As a nonprofit advocate, Deputy Secretary of State, legislative staffer, and volunteer leader, I’ve worked for 30 years to make Minnesota a more just place to live and a state where everyone can thrive.

I have won passage of state laws, again and again, on issue after issue. This has included work on voting rights, corporate accountability, LGBTQ-rights, disability advocacy, criminal justice reform, and the needs of small businesses, to name a few. 

I’m running in this political moment to: 

• protect the Constitution and our neighbors from attacks from the Trump administration 

• continue the work I’ve done for decades to defend democracy, and

• address the affordability crisis in healthcare, childcare, and housing, to name a few.

In addition to my passion for fairness, democracy, and equal opportunity, I love to host friends for board game nights, work on projects around our 136 year old home, and tend to our pollinator gardens.

Pronouns: she, her, hers

“Two things from [Beth’s] speech particularly stood out to me. First, when she introduced herself, she gave her pronouns, which I don’t think anyone else did. Second, as she was talking about protecting all the people being targeted by the Republicans, she said that everyone had the right to respect and protection “regardless of how or if you worship.” Both of these things were brief and subtle and yet stood out to me as evidence that she’s someone who is not going to brush aside any of her constituents.”
